Marine Ducroux-Gazio, a graduate of Beaux-Arts de Paris and École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, where she received the jury’s honours, presents Holding the Flame, a film shot in Soulac-sur-Mer in which the artist tries in vain to keep a match alight as she faces the sea and the wind – a metaphor for our powerlessness in the face of climate change.
