Jacques Herzog is the Centre Pompidou's distinguished guest for the L'entour seminar, bringing together Beaux-Arts de Paris, École d’architecture Paris-Malaquais – PSL, École des arts décoratifs – PSL and Pavillon Bosio.
Since the seminal event "Architektur Denkform" held in Basel in 1988, Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron have been questioning the medium of the exhibition as a device for perception, constantly reformulating the conditions for the encounter between a subject, a place and works of art.
This lecture is organised as part of the L'entour seminar series, which since 2018 has invited major players on the international scene to present their work and reflections on the history and technique of exhibition design.
Thank you to the Monumental ! association and the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne for hosting this lecture in the magnificent Richelieu amphitheatre.
