Le projet ‘Implicit Surfaces’ utilise le potentiel de l’espace digital en tant qu’espace de liberté créative.
A l’aide d’un crayon et d’une tablette graphique, les objets sont dessinés à la main de manière intuitive directement en 3 dimensions. Le designer ainsi libéré de la notion d’échelle, de gravité, et de poids, peut tourner librement autour de ses modèles 3d et même en traverser la peau pour les modifier depuis l’intérieur. Une fois imprimés en 3d, ces objets-dessins révèlent un bas-relief en ombres et volumes dont la surface porte l’incidence directe du mouvement
spontané de la main du créateur sur la forme de l’objet.
Iridescents, presque irréels, les artefacts articulent à la fois les codes d’une esthétique digitale, du cartoon et d’anciennes poteries sculptées par des aliens, suscitant la tension désirable d’une illusion tactile.
The project 'Implicit Surfaces' uses the potential of digital space as a space for creative freedom.
With the help of a pencil and a graphic tablet, objects are drawn by hand in an intuitive way directly in 3 dimensions. The designer is freed from the notion of scale, gravity, and weight, and can freely turn around his 3d models and even go through their skin to modify them from the inside. Once printed in 3d, these objects-drawings reveal a bas-relief in shadows and volumes whose surface carries the direct incidence of the spontaneous movement

Iridescent, almost unreal, the artifacts articulate both the codes of a digital aesthetic, the cartoon and ancient pottery carved by aliens, creating the desirable tension of a tactile illusion.

Behemut est bédéiste, il a une formation en archéologie et en dessin. Ce théâtre en papier reconstitue une vision de l’hôtel de ville de Bruxelles au XVème siècle.
Symbole et prestige de la ville, ce bâtiment rassemble sous un même toit, taverne, bibliothèque, marché et commissariat. Il marque le début d’une nouvelle ère ; les commerçants commencent à prendre place dans les administrations du pouvoir. Pour la pièce l’auteur a travaillé avec l’aide du chercheur Philippe Sosnowska spécialiste en archéologie du bâti qui a travaillé sur les fouilles de l’Hôtel de ville de Bruxelles entre 2016 et 2018.
Behemut is a cartoonist with a background in archaeology and drawing. This paper theater reconstitutes a vision of the city hall of Brussels in the 15th century.
Symbol and prestige of the city, this building gathers under the same roof, tavern, library, market and police station. It marks the beginning of a new era; merchants are beginning to take their place in the administrations of power. For the play the author worked with the help of researcher Philippe Sosnowska specialist in building archaeology who worked on the excavations of the City Hall of Brussels between 2016 and 2018.

“Smell of Hildegard” est une peinture inspirée par Hildegarde de Bingen.
Luna Ece Bal crée un herbier abstrait en utilisant des pigments fabriqués à partir d’herbes et plantes choisies dans l’herbier médical de Hildegard. Elle a aussi utilisé de la garance, ainsi qu’un pigment de terre conçu par ses soins.
Pour cette pièce l’artiste utilise la technique de peinture sur eau appelée Ebru - l’art traditionnel du papier marbré, une technique turque du 15ème siècle. La toile est accompagnée d’une odeur composée par l’artiste, inspirée par Hildegard.
"Smell of Hildegard" is a painting inspired by Hildegard of Bingen.
Luna Ece Bal creates an abstract herbarium using pigments made from herbs and plants chosen from Hildegard's medical herbarium. She also used madder, as well as an earth pigment designed by her.
For this piece the artist uses the watercolor technique called Ebru - the traditional art of marbled paper, a 15th century Turkish technique. The canvas is accompanied by a scent composed by the artist, inspired by Hildegard.
