The Beaux-Arts de Paris are saddened to learn of the death of Alain Fuchs, professor and former President of PSL University, and offer their most sincere condolences to his family and friends.
President of the PSL University and Foundation from 2017 to 2024, Alain Fuchs played a decisive role in the creation of a selective, interdisciplinary global university in France, committed to promoting talent and equal opportunity. His term of office will have been marked by major successes (obtaining the Idex, the end of PSL's experimental phase, the introduction of graduate programs) and by the institution's increased international visibility.
Beaux-Arts de Paris is a partner of PSL University, and has developed the SACRe (Sciences, Arts, Creation, Research) doctoral research program with five of its members (École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, La Fémis, Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique and École normale supérieure).
