What motivates artists when they leave school? Do artists born in the 3rd millennium see their role in society differently? What are the challenges facing artists at the start of their careers?

These are just some of the questions posed each year by 100% L'EXPO, which opens the Grande Halle de la Villette to young artists graduating from French art schools. Conceived as a professional springboard and showcase for the emerging scene, 100% L'EXPO has become the essential contemporary art event devoted to young artists.

The works of some forty artists are displayed over 3,500 m² in the Grande Halle de la Villette, in a scenography composed entirely of salvaged elements from previous events. Each year, La Villette collaborates with French art schools to present recently graduated artists.

For this 7th edition, the Haute école des arts du Rhin Mulhouse - Strasbourg joins 100% L'EXPO, the Beaux-Arts de Paris, the Beaux-Arts de Marseille, the École des Arts Décoratifs - PSL, the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy and the Villa Arson Nice. La Villette is also collaborating with the Fondation Culture & Diversité for the fourth year running.

Beaux-Arts de Paris artists: Thomas Besset, Ninon Enéa, Claire Gitton, Lou Le Forban, Valentin Ranger and Alexandre Yang.
