This year, two art history courses are open to registered students: ‘L'histoire globale de l'art en questions’ with Laura Karp-Lugo and ‘Peinture, mémoire, politique. The Century of Gerhard Richter’ with Christian Joschke.
The 2nd and 3rd year General History of Art courses at the Beaux-arts de Paris are open to a limited number of students from outside the school. These courses enable students to acquire a certain number of fundamentals that will enable them to navigate art history with confidence. The aim is not, however, to follow courses organised academically according to periods or trends, but to give students the means to interpret art from all periods and all origins according to original themes that are renewed each year.
All courses are taught in French only.
