10 years ago, the Prix du Dessin Contemporain was created by the association Le Cabinet des Amateurs de Dessins des Beaux-Arts de Paris, which plays an active role in enriching the collections of the Beaux-Arts de Paris, with a view to encouraging young artists.
This happy anniversary is the occasion for the publication of a fine work by Beaux-Arts de Paris éditions, which brings together and presents the works of the prize-winners and the 31 artists nominated since its creation. For each artist, four double-page spreads present the work of the previous prize-winner and his or her current work, as well as an interview with Aurore Forray, providing a vast and formidable panorama of the creative work of the Beaux-Arts de Paris.
To celebrate, we are delighted to share with you the works of the winners over the last ten years: Mathieu Bonardet in 2013, Elvire Caillon in 2014, Marcella Barceló in 2015, Bianca Argimon in 2016, César Bardoux in 2017, Lenny Rébéré and Katarzyna Wiesiołek in 2018, Solène Rigou in 2019, Manon Gignoux in 2020, Tiziano Foucault-Gini in 2021, Cassius Beau Baron in 2022 and Timothée Gruel in 2023.
These 10 years are also an opportunity to thank Daniel Thierry, chairman of the association Le Cabinet des amateurs de dessins and Stanislas d'Alburquerque and all the members of the association for their commitment and support for young artists and the Beaux-Arts de Paris.
