At the initiative of Kärcher, patron of both institutions, the Château de Fontainebleau and Beaux-Arts de Paris have entered into a collaboration to provide a graphic work executed by a young artist to the tarpaulin that is masking the restoration of the horseshoe staircase for a year.

Domitille Siergé, a student in her 5th year in Stéphane Calais' studio is the winner of the call for projects launched among the School's students.

The life-size project will adorn until spring 2022 the 25 m long and 7 m high tarp on the restoration site of the horseshoe staircase of the Court of Honor of the Château de Fontainebleau. The artist was able to treat with humour and virtuosity all the themes requested: the horseshoe staircase, its restoration, the historical periods linked to the Château de Fontainebleau. The characters included in her creation are all taken from famous paintings, from Clouet to David.

.

The quality of her drawing and the overall balance of her composition led the jury to distinguish her project among the 27 entries received. Domitille Siergé will receive the sum of €5,000 and Kärcher will own her original creation.
