Vedettes de Paris, a partner of Beaux-Arts de Paris, chose Elina Kuhlich, an artist graduating in 2023, to design a work of art and decorate the hull of the electric-powered cruise boat “Le Paris-Montparnasse” that sails on the Seine. The resulting work is a dynamic composition representing several animal species that inhabit the river Seine.
This is the third artistic creation designed as part of the partnership, which focuses on sustainability and urban planning, allowing Parisians and tourists to discover works by young artists from the Beaux-Arts de Paris on the Seine or its banks, reaffirming the identity of the Vedettes de Paris.
Hélice, the Christmas tree by Arthur Desmoulins (student), was installed on the quay in 2024, and Les Crevettes de Paris by Nastassia Kotava (2020 graduate), created in 2023, can still be seen on the quay at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
Vedettes de Paris is a patron of the “Fresque & Art en situation” program at Beaux-Arts de Paris.
