We are delighted to announce that Xie Lei, Eva Nielsen and Lionel Sabatté, graduates of the Beaux-Arts de Paris, are among the four finalists with Bianca Bondi for the Prix Marcel Duchamp 2025. We offer them our warmest congratulations.

Xie Lei, artist graduated from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2016
Born in China in 1983. He lives and works in Paris. The practice of painter Xie Lei opens the way to a language that translates his sensitive universe, and a field of experimentation to explore the specificity of this medium in the contemporary world. Her practice starts from reality, but escapes from it to explore equivocal, uncertain worlds that her imagination transforms.

Eva Nielsen, artist graduated from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2009 and studio head at the school
Born in 1983, in Les Lilas. She lives and works in Paris. Known for her hybrid paintings, which draw on latex, leather, silk and silkscreen to create complex, unexpected and unique pictorial compositions. Eva Nielsen allows the viewer to explore the landscapes she surveys in successive, immersive layers. The painter-photographer-plastician superimposes these stages to cast doubt on the making of the work.

Lionel Sabatté, artist graduated from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2003
Born in Toulouse in 1975. He lives and works in Paris and Los Angeles. Working in painting, drawing and sculpture, Lionel Sabatté strives to create an ongoing dialogue between all his works. The sphere of the living and the transformations of matter due to the passage of time are at the heart of his work.

The nominees will be exhibited from September 26, 2025 to February 22, 2026 at the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris. The winner will be announced on October 23, 2025.
