Graduating in 2024 with honors, photographer and video artist Zoé Bernardi is the winner of the 6th Sisley x Beaux-Arts de Paris prize for Young Creation.

This prize, co-created by Sisley and Beaux-Arts de Paris, aims to promote young artists. To support Zoé Bernardi in her future projects and the launch of her career, Sisley is offering her a scholarship and devoting an exhibition to her entitled “Les mots de la tribu” from June 6 to July 11 at its Paris headquarters as part of its Trois Cinq Friedland cultural program.

"It all begins in 2020, in the imposed confinement of the pandemic. For Zoé Bernardi, living confined to her own family raises a question: what does it mean to be a family? Beyond blood, beyond transmission, it's the circle that interests her - what defines “her bubble” and the tribe. For Zoé Bernardi, everything begins with a constellation of loved bodies, shared with tenderness. The bodies of a “Frankenstein” family: reconstituted, troubled, shattered. She photographs them as one watches, films them as one listens. In this radical proximity, the artist deploys an aesthetic of gentleness, care and indiscipline."
