Eva Bester made her debut on France Culture by collaborating on a dozen of programmes. She became a journalist for the 28 minutes programme on Arte, in which she summoned writers and texts from past centuries that resonated with current events. At the same time, she wrote portraits of writers for the magazine Transfuge and joined Le grand bain on France Inter to talk about cinema classics. She then brought "forgotten literature" up to date in the programme Ouvert la nuit.

In 2013, she created, hosted and produced on the same channel the programme Remède à la mélancolie (Remedy for melancholy), which has now around 2 million listeners. On television, on Canal +, after having animated La séquence du spectateur in which she returns, with a guest, to a cult film scene, she intervenes every week in the programme Clique, where she praises the imaginary by evoking singular artistic creations from all eras, allowing us to escape from reality. She is also the author of two books published by "Autrement": Remède à la mélancolie (2016), and Léon Spilliaert, Œuvre au noir (2020), a literary and iconographic essay on the life and work of the Belgian painter.
