A wide-ranging interview with Jean-Baptiste Andrea, winner of the 2023 Goncourt Prize, punctuated by readings by actor Léo Dussolier, accompanied by Lola Malique on cello.
In Veiller sur elle (L'Iconoclaste), Jean-Baptiste Andrea takes us to the heart of the secret of a statue hidden in an Italian abbey. To unravel its mystery, the story plunges us into the heart of twentieth-century Italy, marked by the rise of Fascism. In these troubled times, Milo, a sculptor with the fingers of a fairy, and Viola, the daughter of a powerful, free-spirited family, meet. The poignant relationship between these two people leads to the creation of a forbidden work of art. A deeply moving novel, an ode to art and love, to creation and freedom.

The meeting will be followed by a book signing. No books will be sold on site. Please bring your own copies.
