Édouard Louis is a writer. His novels have been translated into some thirty languages and have met with exceptional success throughout the world. He has collaborated with numerous directors such as Stanislas Nordey, Ivo van Hove and Thomas Ostermeier. Since his first book, he has been combining literature and political commitment, notably through his work with the Adama Committee against police violence.

He teaches at the Manufacture-Haute École des Arts de la Scène in Lausanne.
