The collection includes 65,000 works from the 15th to the 20th centuries, relating to architecture, painting, sculpture, drawing, and engraving. There are 3,500 works from the 15th and 16th centuries, most coming from the Donation Jean Masson, of all kinds and with varied geographical origins (France, Italy, Netherlands, and Spain). From the 17th century, the artistic domain became predominant. Architecture is particularly well represented by a fine collection of works dealing with its theory and history, urbanism, construction techniques, and types of buildings. Finally, the collection includes 900 collections of periodicals (the most unique being the 19th-century French and international architectural journals).
