Exposition Souvenirs de Jeunesse

Exhibition Souvenirs de Jeunesse

To be funded

Description

Souvenirs de jeunesse is a journey through time spanning two centuries, from 1774 to 1980. From David to Delacroix, from Gérôme to Cézanne, from Matisse to Gina Pane, the Beaux-Arts de Paris collection will be showcased, with a look back at the singular careers of famous artists who passed through the School, as well as evoking the Prix de Rome, their stay at the Villa Médicis and the various academic movements.

The Beaux-Arts de Paris collection is the result of historic donations from artists, teachers and students, as well as generous collectors, who are keen to pass on important groups of works to future generations of artists.

Scheduled to run from October 2024 to January 2025, this exceptional event will be held in the Palais des Beaux-Arts, opposite the Louvre Museum.
