Nathalie Talec, who served as studio director at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris from 2015 to 2026, is a sculptor, painter, video artist, photographer, and musician.
A performance artist, she explores the theme of extremes. Since childhood, she has been fascinated by the polar expeditions of explorers, inspired by the travels of Paul-Émile Victor and writers’ accounts of snow and cold.
These stories inspire her work as an artist and set the tone for this coloring book, which invites us into her poetic, glacial world.
An interview with art critic Anaël Pigeat offers a deeper look into Nathalie Talec’s work.
The Beaux-Arts de Paris coloring books showcase the talent of the school’s artist-instructors. Also in this collection: François Boisrond, Nina Childress, Claude Closky, Patrick Faigenbaum, Julien Creuzet, and Frédérique Loutz.
