Le grand livre de Mondes nouveaux (The big book of New Worlds) lists the 260 artistic projects carried out by visual and performing artists, researchers, dancers, designers, writers, musicians, performers, photographers, etc., within the framework of Mondes nouveaux, a support programme for contemporary artistic creation launched by the government in the context of the France Relance plan.

This beautiful book, in addition to being a directory of all the achievements of Mondes nouveaux, allows the greatest number of readers, both general public and initiated, to know the scope and grandeur of the project, as well as the excellence of the contemporary art scene in the French and overseas territories.

The book is introduced by a long interview between the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul Malak and Bernard Blistène, president of the artistic committee of Mondes nouveaux.

Agnès Vince, director of the Conservatoire du Littoral and Delphine Samsoen, director general of the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, each write about the commitment of their respective institutions and their collaboration and support for numerous Mondes nouveaux projects on architectural, historical and natural heritage sites.

Arranged in alphabetical order, a first booklet of 520 pages will highlight the original creations of each artist or collective. Each of them will be illustrated with archive or documentary photos, drawings and photos of the works produced, sometimes in situ.

A text or an interview with the Mondes nouveaux team (Bernard Blistène, Ronan de Calan, Lucie Campos, Julien Creuzet, Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel, Bruno Messina, Caroline Naphegyi, Chloé Siganos, Noé Soulier) tells the story of each creation.

Through these pages, a kind of creative, imaginative, virtuous utopia takes shape, concerned with a new world, ecological and natural issues, history and sites, collaborations and transdisciplinary initiatives.

A photographic report on the Rendez-vous artistique Mondes nouveaux X Beaux-Arts de Paris held in April at the School with meetings, workshops, screenings, exhibitions, performances, etc. It is introduced by a box by Alexia Fabre, director of the Beaux-Arts de Paris and by a presentation by the curator of this event, Caroline Naphegyi.

At the end of the book, a booklet presents a short biography of each of the participants. It is completed by geographical maps that allow the creations to be located and to see how Mondes nouveaux opened up to all the territories, from the Château d'If to the Pointe du Raz, from the Fortress of Salses to the Villa Cavrois, from the Saintes in Guadeloupe to Guyana.
