The Cour du Mûrier, former cloister of the Couvent des Petits-Augustins, founded by Queen Marguerite de Valois, is named after the Chinese mulberry tree planted by Alexandre Lenoir, founder of the Musée des Monuments Français.
A central fountain, antique marble statues under arcades, Italian-inspired frescoes, a joist ceiling and a mosaic floor contribute to the rich polychromy of this bucolic place. It has benefited from a major renovation (2015-2018), restoring its former glory.
