A graduate of the Beaux-arts de Paris, the Villa Arson and the École du Louvre, Veronika Doszla has forged an identitý as an artist-researcher probing the traditional processes of photography and the era of digital visuality.
Questioned by the photographic act and captivated by the materiality of supports, her experimental approach focuses on the optical or physico-chemical phenomena involved in the appearance of images, making each one a perceptual event. Interested in the porositý between the arts and sciences, she pays particular attention to the Human-Nature relationship, whose notion of Landscape gives her food for thought about aesthetic, societal and, by extension, ecological issues.
She is also working in the theoretical field at MAC Montréal as a researcher in preparation for the international Stern symposium in 2022, and has been invited to take part in the Aware colloquium ‘Sculpture, une femme peut donc créer’ at the Centre Pompidou in 2024. She has exhibited at Jeune création (Le 104 Paris), Catalyst Gallery (Ireland), Cooper Union (NYC) and Parcours Saint-Germain (Paris). A finalist for the Diamond and Keskar prizes, winner of the Prix d'art contemporain de Nice, the Colin Lefranc grant (NYC), the Kenza Foundation - Institut de France and the Stephan Balkenhol sponsorship-residency (Meisenthal), she is patiently pursuing her alchemical quest for photography and her research into the history of the medium, while working on the creation of a publishing house, Kunstellation.
Veronika Doszla has been teaching printing and finishing techniques at ENSBA Paris since 2011, and will be joining the permanent team at Labo photo in 2022 as a digital photo referent (post-production) and trainer in large-format pigment printing techniques.
