Marion Naccache studied literature and contemporary poetry at the École Normale Supérieure (Letters and Human Sciences). Alongside her doctoral research on the sound poet Bernard Heidsieck, she began to produce video essays, a sort of hybrid object between research and creation, poetry and moving image, observation of the world and devices for recording it. With CONEY ISLAND, (last summer) (2010), his first feature documentary, begins a work of cinematographic research which deploys a form of contemplative observation based on time, distance and repetition allowing us to look at the world at a rhythm different. His films are regularly shown at international film festivals, but also contemporary art and poetry institutions.
His most recent work is VENICE BEACH, CA. (2021) and “Years ago, I was working on a movie…” (2022).
