For the seventh consecutive year, the law firm Gide invited students and recent graduates from the School to create a series of three short films, to be shown throughout the year on the giant LED screens at the firm’s headquarters in Paris (8th arrondissement). Forty-seven candidates responded to this call for projects, which were assessed by a jury comprising representatives from Beaux-Arts de Paris and partners from Gide, to finalise a selection of projects reflecting the diverse approaches to visual arts within the School.

The four winning projects:

Joséphine Berthou, a graduate of HEAD and Beaux-Arts de Paris, where she received the jury’s commendation, for *Ceux qui sont passés par là*, a triptych filmed through a window capturing domestic scenes and offering a counterpoint to the rhythm of everyday working life.

Marine Ducroux-Gazio, a graduate of Beaux-Arts de Paris and the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs, where she received the jury’s commendation for *Holding the Flame*—a film shot in Soulac-sur-Mer in which the artist tries in vain to keep a match alight as she faces the sea and the wind, a metaphor for our powerlessness in the face of climate change.

Nathan Ghali, a graduate of Beaux-Arts de Paris, for *Blind Spot*, a series of three videos depicting spaces overrun by wild animals in a fictional narrative generated by artificial intelligence, which explores the disappearance of reality in the age of AI.

Jacques Raison du Cleuziou, a second-year student at Beaux-Arts de Paris, for *Ma steppe*, a series of three 3D animations depicting a fictional place called Darzoma, where the landscape is in constant flux, creating an unstable atmosphere inspired by internet aesthetics.

Gide also supports Beaux-Arts de Paris in various areas of the school’s educational programme through its GideProBono endowment fund: Via Ferrata, the preparatory class at École des Beaux-Arts de Paris, as well as professional development for artists in the field of intellectual property.
