Created nine years ago by the Beaux-Arts de Paris, the Hérodote programme, supported by the Friends of Beaux-Arts de Paris, welcomes 15 to 20 students each year, including refugee artists and asylum seekers who have undertaken or completed higher education in art in their country of origin.

Initiated by Sophie Marino programme manager, it offers a supportive environment in which students can regain confidence in themselves and their practice and forge bonds. It includes French as a foreign language classes, art history classes in English, portfolio creation support, access to technical workshops, artistic practice classes, meetings with School professors, two group exhibitions, and networking with art professionals in Paris and the Ile-de-France region.

The recognition of this programme as an institutional diploma since 2022 offers training and teaching aimed at effective integration into higher education.
