Lauren Laz has been unanimously selected by the jury and appointed Director of the Artworks Department at Beaux-Arts de Paris. A historian of modern art and a specialist in prints from the French School, she will take up her post on 1 April 2026. We wish her a warm welcome!
As director of the Angladon-Dubrujeaud Foundation, which manages the Avignon museum, since 2015, she has conceived and organised numerous exhibitions there. She oversaw the museum’s refurbishment, which included the creation of a floor dedicated to temporary exhibitions and a new display layout for the Jacques Doucet private collection. Building on this experience and the achievements at the Angladon Museum – Jacques Doucet Collection, Lauren Laz will continue the work begun by Kathy Alliou, the previous head of the artworks department. Her main task will be to oversee the relocation of the collections in preparation for upcoming works, and she will be responsible for developing collaborations between the collections and teaching programmes as part of the implementation of the strategic project led by Éric de Chassey for the School.
