Sila Candansayar, Cléopatra Gones, and Apolline Regent graduates of Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2025 are winners of the "Mennour Emergence" programme, which is committed to supporting young artists in the early stages of their careers, as part of the Mennour Institute. On this occasion, they will benefit from a group exhibition with the four other winners: Mariama Conteh (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy), Maximilien Curtis x Cabinet Alecoya (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy), Anna Kereszty (Ecole des Arts Décoratifs - PSL) and Papiyon (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy)
Sila Candansayar, 2025 graduate, combines mythology, science fiction and social criticism, placing objects of human dimensions in space. These sensual presences interact with geometric shapes and restrictive constraints.
The sculptures of Cléopatra Gones, 2025 graduate, are rooted in the experience of bodies and images, subverting colonial representations. Through the appropriation of objects of beauty, the artist reveals the mechanisms of political and economic injustice.
The practice of Apolline Regent, a 2025 graduate, is based on assemblage, accident and maintaining a constant energy of doing. Between humour and tenderness, her paintings become spaces for experimentation where time, invented stories and lived experiences intersect.
Mennour Emergence is a project initiated by Jessy Mansuy, Managing Director of Mennour, and curated by Christian Alandete, Scientific Director of Mennour.
