The Rencontres Aiguillages are held throughout the year so that VIA FERRATA students can meet and talk to artists and professionals from different creative sectors. They come to present their work, their careers and their activities, and give them advice to help them in their future direction and choice of studies.
Meet Anne Drefus
"Anne Dreyfus is a dancer and choreographer.
Since 2006 she has been the director of Le Générateur, an arts and performance venue in Gentilly.
Trained in ballet and contemporary dance in Paris, she was a member of the Peter Goss Company and the Jennifer Muller and the Works Company (USA).
Between 1982 and 2003 she created over thirty choreographies with her company, presented both in France and abroad.
Alongside her creative work, she has pursued an intense teaching activity, teaching at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris from 1996 to 2001.
Her questioning of the relationship between dance and music has led her to develop an intense activity in the field of instant composition and improvisation.
In 2009 she set up FRASQ, a performance event that brings together around fifty artists each year in partnership with other organisations interested in this field of art.
The Générateur project is thus intimately linked to her approach as an artist, as it is a response to her desire to broaden her vision, her questions and her exploration of the place and meaning of the body in contemporary art.
Co-founded by Anne Dreyfus and painter Bernard Bousquet in 2006, Le Générateur is a 600m2 space created and run by artists.
An arts and performance venue on the edge of the 13th arrondissement of Paris, Le Générateur is dedicated to all forms of contemporary artistic expression, whenever they rhyme with research and creation and create unlikely frictions between disciplines, genres, audiences and generations.
Le Générateur regularly offers artists residencies in the fields of music, visual arts, theatre, writing and dance.
Every October since 2009, Le Générateur has presented FRASQ, an annual performance event that brings together an average of fifty artists and brings together a network of venues across the Ile-de-France region.
Since 2009, Le Générateur has partnered over 40 music, dance and digital arts festivals.
A place for incubation (fast) and catalysis (very neutral), Le Générateur is open to all intensities and brings together artists and audiences around current creation."
