Documentaries, experimental films, fiction, found-footage - each of the projects by the young artists at the Atelier Cogitore des Beaux-Arts de Paris explores in its own way the porosities and boundaries between these different narrative forms. At the crossroads of the intimate and the collective, the political and the aesthetic, they hold out as much promise of works in the making as they do of singular gestures. Hybrid films, contemplative, furious, conceptual, participative, cathartic: a new generation of video artists unfolds in a 2-hour screening.

In LL, Béryl Coulombié reinterprets a paragraph from Monique Wittig's book Les Guérillères. A body moves away, carrying an egg from floor to ceiling. The stage, a precarious assemblage of fleece and wooden planks, is a runway and a meadow. "In the gardens there are no little girls playing". Between the movements and the snatches of text, the anxiety of reproduction is muted.

Worn tiles, grotesque ornamentation and spectacular fountains are all points of departure that enable her to develop her ideas through a play of rebounds and analogies. Victoire Mangez is the winner of the Prix Dauphine pour l'Art Contemporain (2023), and curated the exhibition "Eaux d'artifice" at the Palais des Beaux-arts in Paris (2021) and "Olifant" at the Château de Moyen, Lorraine (2017). Nos cœurs en terre

David Wahl and Olivier de Sagazan

In a breathtaking performance, David Wahl and Olivier de Sagazan take us along on the trail of vertiginous questions. What if there was such a thing as the sexuality of stones? Louis XIV's anatomist, Pierre Borel, claimed to have irrefutable proof of this in a century when those who believed the Earth to be inert and those who thought of it as a gigantic living organism were pitted against each other.

From wednesday 13 july 2022 to tuesday 18 october 2022

Monday to Sunday 9.30am-11am and 1pm-5.30pm (closed on Tuesday)

Musée national Eugène Delacroix

6 rue de Furstemberg, 75006 Paris

As part of "Delacroix and colour", a new presentation of the collections, the Musée national Eugène-Delacroix has invited student artists from the "Artists and Exhibition Professions" course at the Beaux-Arts de Paris to take over the painter's room to revive the spirit of the place using contemporary works.

"Pièce, habitation, abri" is a project in dialogue with the museum, the artist-curators Fanny Irina, Amandine Massé and Caroline Rambaud, who propose a selection of works by young artists from the School and reactivate an imaginary room. In this room, where one has the impression that traces of a former presence remain, the artists sow their memories, some of them calling on the imagination, others inhabiting the place for the duration of a reverie.
