Creation of a performance prize

The Villa Seurat Foundation for Contemporary Art, a Fondation sheltered by Fondation de France, is making a commitment to young artists graduating from Beaux-Arts de Paris by creating a prize to reward a performance combining dance and the visual arts. The agreement was signed on December 5, 2024, at the school, by Foundation President Catherine Kessedjian and Alexia Fabre, Director of Beaux-Arts de Paris. The first Villa Seurat Foundation Prize for Contemporary Art will be awarded by an independent jury in June 2025.

Organized by Les Amis des Beaux-Arts de Paris, now available on our YouTube channel.

Created by three institutions, the Beaux-Arts de Paris, the INHA and the CNRS, the Reg-Arts database provides access to the Beaux-Arts de Paris enrolment registers of more than 12,000 student painters, sculptors and engravers between 1813 and 1968.

Reg-Arts provides a central resource for art history, enabling researchers, descendants, museums and galleries to explore the data.

The collections department in action!

In preparation for the move of part of the collections to outsourced storage at the Beaux-Arts de Paris, the team is working simultaneously on four collections projects (drawings, prints and photographs, antiquarian books and numismatics).

These projects involve dusting, marking, counting and repackaging the works. This colossal task will considerably improve our knowledge of the collections. It is an essential prerequisite for moving works of art in complete safety. It is also an opportunity to rediscover some very fine pieces.

Good news! The deadline for applications has been extended to 25 October 2024!

The Beaux-Arts de Paris need your support in order to continue teaching and practising art at the highest level of excellence and to raise the School to a leading position on the international scene.

Your company's contribution is essential.
In particular, the apprenticeship tax will enable us to renovate the students' studios.

For these reasons, we would be particularly pleased to receive an apprenticeship tax payment from you.

Six teachers and leading artists are joining the teaching team.

Welcome to Emmanuel Van der Meulen, who is taking charge of a workshop, to Tristan Garcia, a literature teacher, and to Neil Beloufa, Agnès Geoffray, Marion Naccache and Chloé Quenum, guest artists in a workshop.
